Can I pay my citation at park office?
Once citations are issued, they must be paid or contested through the Justice Court system. The Parks Office cannot accept payments for citations. Please follow the instructions on your citation to make a payment.
What rules do rangers enforce?
Park rangers are tasked with keeping the parks safe and enjoyable for all patrons. As such, they are empowered to enforce all park rules. The comprehensive list can be found on our Park Rules page.
I got a pink card with my citation. What do I do?
If you receive a citation with a pink card, you may purchase a parking pass and deposit both the pass and the citation into an "iron ranger" at the fee booth. The citation will not be sent to the court if it is paid onsite.
What do I do if I disagree with the citation?
The disagreement must be taken up with the Justice Court judge. Please refer to the instructions provided on the citation form.
Do I have to go to court?
To avoid going to court, patrons can pay the fine or plead no contest. Both options allow servicing via mail. Please refer to the instructions provided on the citation form.
I got a warning. Do I have to pay a fine?
There are no fines associated with a warning. Subsequent violations may result in citations and fines.
