Metzger Park Assessment

In Fall 2023, property owners in the Metzger Park Local Improvement District (MPLID) received notice of a proposed assessment increase from $158,995 to $318,000. The assessment amount is based on the current assessed value of the property and will be adjusted based on the actual assessed value of the property as determined for the 2024-2025 tax year.

The objective of this increase is to:

• Maintain operations and maintenance service delivery at Metzger Park
• Replace County general fund expenditures for administrative and personnel costs related to Metzger Park, and
• Address the increased costs of goods and services since the last assessment change in 2019

The Washington County Board of Commissioners is holding a public hearing on this matter on January 16, 2024, at the Public Services Building, located at 155 N. First Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97124. The Board will consider support and objections filed in writing at this meeting. You may also testify at the public hearing. The assessment, as proposed herein or as may be modified by the Board, will be levied after the hearing and thereafter certified to the tax roll.
