Opening Saturday, May 25 for Memorial Day weekend!

Our rental operation is open Saturdays and Sundays only, as well as the following holiday Mondays -- Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Group rentals (10 or more kayaks) may be coordinated year-round during weekdays, with at least 5 day notice. Please contact us at 503-846-7000 to learn more.

What's included in the rental? 
Along with your kayak and/or paddle board, a lifejacket and safety whistle are included in your rental.
Who can participate?

To rent a kayak/SUP board, you must be at least 18 years old, and have a valid photo ID with you (driver's license or passport)

Due to Equipment limitations, individuals whose weight exceeds 300 lbs. per single kayak, or 250 lbs. per seat/500 lbs. combined for tandem kayak, or 235 lbs. for stand-up paddle board or whose chest size exceeds 60” are not permitted to use the Equipment. Except for tandem kayaks, Equipment is limited to one Participant during the Activity.

All Participants under the age of 18 must operate Equipment under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Direct supervision means within 100 feet at all times. Participants under the age of 12 may ride on a tandem kayak with a parent or legal guardian. Children under 30 lbs. are not permitted to be a Participant.

Hours of Operation
Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 am - 8 pm (last rental at 6 pm).
Memorial Day - Monday, May 27
Labor Day - Monday, September 2

Snacks and Concessions
Snacks and cold beverages are available during our open hours! We also sell sunscreen, waterproof cell phone pouches, and WashCo Parks caps. 
Where can I paddle?

  • A government issued ID (driver’s license or passport) is required as a hold for your rental.

  • Review the rental agreement carefully.

  • All participants must be at least 30 lbs. Equipment limitations, 300 lbs. per single kayak, or 250 lbs/per seat, 500 lbs. total for tandem kayak, or 235 lbs. for stand-up paddle board.

  • Those under 12 years of age, may be on a tandem kayak with a parent/guardian that’s 18 or older. Keep minors in sight at all times.

  • Life vests are always required, and provided, for each participant, while on the water.

  • Every participant will have an emergency whistle while on the water, to be used only in an emergency.

  • There are no lifeguards on duty.

  • Please refer to the map on where you can and can’t paddle. Stay clear of the wake zone, fishing pier and boat docks.

  • Adjust your kayak seat prior to getting into the water. Sit forward to adjust buckles, otherwise they will break.

  • Launch your kayak in front of the facility. You may also use the side of the boat ramp to wheel your kayak to the water – be cautious if you are sharing the ramp. No swimming near boat ramps.

  • Don’t leave your kayak unattended, or floating. Don’t transport your kayak by car.

  • Please carefully review the rental agreement on late fees (double the cost of rental) and damages.
