Come out to Hagg Lake for a hike and story! A StoryWalk® is a hike in a natural area that features the pages of a storybook mounted along the trail. This winter, Washington County Parks will be featuring the picture book "The Hike" by local author Alison Farrell. The half-mile hike begins at the trailhead of Cedar Grove (#32), and is a family-friendly activity for all ages. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Cooler temperatures and the changing of leaves provide ideal hiking conditions at Hagg Lake. Check out our handy trails map to plan your next adventure. To download a printable map, click here.
