Hagg Lake Parking Pass Fee Update Takes Effect July 1, 2026

Washington County, Ore. — Following the Board of Commissioners’ approval of the Fiscal Year 2026–27 budget on June 16, 2026, Washington County Parks will implement updated parking pass fees at Scoggins Valley Park/Hagg Lake beginning July 1, 2026. This is the first fee adjustment since 2016 and reflects the rising operational costs necessary to maintain services at Scoggins Valley Park.

Why Fees Are Changing
Parking rates have remained unchanged for a decade, even as costs for maintenance, daily operations, and staffing have increased. Parking revenue accounts for roughly 20–24% of the Parks budget and plays a vital role in keeping Hagg Lake safe, clean, and open to the public. Updating fees allows the County to keep pace with expenses without reducing services.

Updated Parking Pass Rates
• Daily Regular Pass: $7 → $10
• Daily Senior/Veteran Pass: $5 → $8
• Annual Regular Pass: $60 → $65
• Annual Senior/Veteran Pass: $40 → $55

Discounted daily and annual passes will continue to be available for seniors and veterans to ensure accessible recreation opportunities for all.

The new daily rates align Hagg Lake with Oregon State Parks and Washington State Parks, both of which charge $10 per day.

Washington County Parks remains committed to providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable outdoor environment. These updated fees help sustain the level of care and service the community expects—today and into the future.
